I am hoping to have the vote shop working to night and I would like to know what type of items people would like to see in there to convince more people to vote Seeing as I have never seen past admins ask the community this I thought I would Please use this format Item name/id/number of votes to obtain this item/how many of this item you would get Thank you Darkcamo12
$10 Ingame Cash Per Vote 2x Diamond 264 /2 Votes Magmatic Dynamo 2004:1 / 10 Votes Leadstone Energy Cell 2005:1 / 20 Votes Redstone Energy Cell 2005:3 / 40 Votes Tesseract 2009 /50 Votes Resonant Energy Cell 2005:4 80 Votes
how about 1 vote = redstone/gold/money 5 votes (1 per day for a week) = diamond/money Once ingame shops are open, people will want money to buy stuff.
Money is the issue the plugin only supports items Unless I add and item that can only be exchanged for money
You could reward people for an item you can only obtain from the reward system then trade that for income cash? Diamonds etc.. Can be farmed and exchange for large amounts of money without a store.. This could be a work around for the reward if you can only reward items that people may not need
I think initially the best option is items that assist when you a just starting i.e. diamond, gold etc. With repeat voting and not trading enabling trade for better / more items. A cash reward at this moment is probably not that beneficial until a more developed cash based economy exists on the server. Once people set up shops then a cash based reward may be more appropriate.
I think the $5 per vote and $20-60 per day is not enough, as the shops cost like $1000. Either make the shops weekly, or make it so people can actually buy the shops
not all shops are $1000 the cheaper ones are $400 a month plus 5 votes * $5 = $25 extra dollars per day + $20 (normal member rate) = $45 * 7 days = $315 a week it is easily affordable
I would agree with Damage stuff like Iron is a lot more beneficial then money at this point till the economy gets better but in saying that like a wise little girl from a taco add says "Why not have both?" so why not have all the things! maybe a stack of ingots can be like 2 votes and maybe even low level machines can be 3-4 votes and so on more incentive means more votes its basic business got to ask why do we need votes? and voters will ask why should we vote? need votes to make server popular popular = more players more players = possible donators. why should people vote = incentives but hardly any incentive so not many votes, but more incentive and better incentives= more votes server gets popular = popular server more new players = more posible donators = less server costs = everyone's happy. but the current rewards are a tad silly i bet no one has traded for a diamond sword cause 1 vote = 5 diamonds = 2 swords for 1 vote get rid of it change it for more useful things if you wanted too you could put a tinker sword or something worth more. Here are a few idea's 1 Vote rewards 1. 5 Jewels ( diamond, emerald, sapphire, ruby etc) 2. 32 of basic blocks (cobble, sand, dirt, gravel, wood etc) 3. 10 basic ingots (iron, tin, copper, gold etc) 4. 5 redstone 5. diamond armor (1 vote per piece) 6. diamond tool ( 1 vote per tool) 7. 1 Tree sapling (no special trees ie time, just basic ones inc rubber) 8. 5 Cooked food 9. Starter pack (crafting table, and 3 iron tools) 10. 1 golden Apple 2 Vote Rewards 1. 10 jewls 2. 64 basic blocks 3. 25 basic ingots 4. 5 Basic tree Saplings 5. 16 cooked food 6. 5 dye 7. 10 wool 8. 1 grass block 9. 5 inverted white lamp 10. 3 Golden Apples Some other vote reward ideas 250 votes for 30 day shop rental 10 votes for Home owners pack (64 cobble, 64 wood planks, 1 door, 16 glass, 1 bed) well that's what i think anyway just suggestions Sexiest Pringle SexyPringles
likely we'd need to activate the pay per block option in residence and then setup a separate currency for it to pull from. The other issue is the fact a residence is typically sky to bedrock so you'd need a multiple of '1 block' equal to that. Its also the problem of no refund so if you mess up your residence you're boned without a modrequest to fix you up. Whilst a nice idea unless there is an easy/practical way to do it that doesn't make more issues/mess its not going to happen soon. Cheers for the input though, its an awesome idea.
